PATRICK KELLY

Patrick Kelly, M.D., M.A, J.D., provides a new perspective to the Jacksonville legal community.  Patrick has both a Juris Doctorate, also called a law degree, a master’s degree in science, and he is a doctor of medicine, fully licensed and active in the State of Florida. Before practicing law, Patrick was a working medical physician, trained in a surgical subspecialty and anesthesia, treating and working with patients firsthand.  Patrick knew that if he combined his medical background with his drive to bring legal justice to people in need, he could provide a unique and knowledgeable approach to legal representation and litigation.  Patrick offers a distinctive approach to the world of law that only a handful of lawyers in the entire country are qualified to do.

Science and medical terminology is very complex, and even the most experienced personal injury attorneys have troubled deciphering it.  As both a lawyer and an experienced doctor, Patrick understands the medical complexities inherent in many injury and complex criminal cases. His scientific expertise is extremely valuable in representing victims of personal injury and those charged with criminal offenses that have scientific components. Patrick’s medical background makes him well versed to discuss any aspect of a case with doctors, scientists, and technicians. Patrick received his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1994. Patrick also has a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in immunology and microbiology from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. In addition to Patrick’s impressive lists of academic accomplishments, he is certified commercial pilot, and was an editor for Law review.

With four academic degrees under his belt, Patrick knows the definition of hard work. With over 30 years of education, Patrick knows firsthand that hard work, determination, intelligence, and discipline can make all the difference in the world—especially in a court of law. Patrick brings to his legal cases the same hardworking, dedicated and positive work ethic he did to his extensive schooling.
